As a result, I can no longer establish a connection to the server from other devices.I have read the forum and tried all of the suggestions but to no avail.
If so, I don't see an option for Windows XP to use media center with the 360. If you're in game (or at the dashboard), hit the guide button and go to "select Music" And I suggest getting the version before 2.0. Pretty sure the music has to be mp3, though it might play flac and other stuff too. Do I need to run the windows media player set up on my xbox360? I think 1.97 is the last version before they started charging.enable the server in TVersity, then go to the video player or music player on the 360. I realize this is probably all simple stuff, but I'm slow when it comes to computers In tversity you specify what folders you want to share. So the music has to be in the folder that's shared in the music section of TVerstiy. If you're in game (or at the dashboard), hit the guide button and go to "select Music" And I suggest getting the version before 2.0. What music files can I put onto TVersity or uh how can I get the music on there to convert to what will play on 360? :)enable the server in TVersity, then go to the video player or music player on the 360.if i try to play that file, it wont play, because its been moved on the WHS file system.to get the WHS Media Library to update, i have to go into the WHS console on my PC, select Settings - Media Sharing - turn video sharing off - apply - then turn it back on - apply go through the steps on the xbox 360 again, and the directory and file listing is now correct.
my Infrant Ready NAS and TVersity have the option to refresh their UPn P library every 24 hrs.
I used to be able to run tversity with no problems but have had problems since updating the firmware and changing from a wired to wireless connection to my router.
I think 1.97 is the last version before they started charging. : D posted that link in another topic, but whenever I go there I only get version 1.8 Beta.
no, this is just straight WHS to Xbox 360 using UPn P (WMP11 and MCE is not involved).
1) i move or add new files to WHS video directory 2) turn on the xbox 360, go to the media tab, and choose videos 3) press 'x' to select video source and choose my WHS 4) drill down into the folders, and the files i moved or added are not there.
the files that i moved are listed in their old place.
